So what are you actually stepping into?

You’ll act as the technical lead and platform owner for critical security technologies, think SIEM, Threat Intelligence, and Behavioural Analytics platforms.

This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys building secure, scalable platforms, leading engineers from the front, and embedding DevSecOps principles into cyber operations.

What you’ll be doing:

• Driving automation through Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management
• Embedding security controls into CI/CD pipelines
• Partnering with cyber analysts and incident responders to improve detection coverage and response outcomes
• Managing containerised workloads in production (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Leading engineers and managing global vendors and stakeholders

What you’ll need to succeed:

Given the breadth of the role, this suits someone with a strong DevOps / SecOps engineering background who has operated at lead level. You’re a builder. You take ownership. You’re comfortable being accountable, both technically and for your team.

The following experience will also put you in a strong position:

• Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, Ansible or similar
• Strong scripting capability (Python / Shell etc.)
• Solid Linux production experience
• Experience managing global stakeholders
• Previous experience leading engineers
