About the Position:

To support and respond to our needs, we are now looking for an Mid Devops Engineer to join a dynamic team in the Lisbon area, under a hybrid arrangement.

What are you going to do ?

• Administer and manage SQL Server platforms within the NIMOS perimeter;
• Lead and support platform refreshes and migrations;
• Develop and maintain automation and administration scripts (T-SQL & PowerShell);
• Perform performance analysis and database optimization, and support development teams in rewriting inefficient code;
• Implement and manage High Availability solutions (AlwaysON, Replication);
• Conduct regular database audits and ensure operational readiness;
• Monitor and supervise production SGBDs (SQL Server & Sybase);
• Handle incident resolution and user support related to databases;
• Participate in crisis management cells (war rooms);
• Manage and deliver database structure changes;
• Administer and optimize MS BI tools (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI Server);
• Manage production deployments and release processes;
• Install, configure, and optimize SGBD servers;
• Support development teams in query and stored procedure optimization;
• Participate in continuity and availability exercises;
• Create and maintain database operational documentation;
• Contribute to technology watch initiatives and database innovation projects (SQL Server 2022–2025, Polybase, Hadoop);
• Support and contribute to cloud database projects (Azure, AWS, GCP).

What we are looking for?

• Strong experience in SQL Server administration (2014+) in production environments.
• Proven background in platform migrations, upgrades, and refresh projects.
• Solid knowledge of T-SQL and PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
• Advanced skills in performance tuning, optimization, and high availability (AlwaysON, Replication).
• Experience with monitoring, auditing, and maintenance of critical database environments.
• Exposure to multi-SGBD environments (SQL Server & Sybase).
• Experience with Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI Server).
• Knowledge of cloud database platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Good level of French is mandatory.
