DevOps Engineer

Smartedge’s Client is looking for an individual to help with their DevOps Engineer (Snowflake Plotform OR Data bricks Plotform ) @ Madrid, Spain (Hybrid Working - 1 Day Onsite / Week)

Key area:

Snowflake One :

Operate and enhance the Snowflake platform across multiple clouds (Azure, AWS)
Automate infrastructure and Snowflake object deployments with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and support the migration to GitHub.
Ensure secure, compliant connectivity and storage configuration in Azure (and emerging AWS workloads).
Optimize Snowflake usage around cost, performance, and scalability.
Collaborate with security, networking, and data teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
Actively participate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies and cross-team collaboration initiatives.
Required Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Engineering, including networking (VNETs, routing, DNS, private endpoints), identity, and storage.
Experience operating and administering Snowflake:
Warehouses, RBAC, databases, schemas, resource monitors
External tables, stages, integrations (Azure mainly)
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Understanding of enterprise cloud networking and security best practices.
Experience with observability and audit logging tools.
Familiarity with Agile/Safe methodologies

Data bricks one :

Strong Cloud Engineering expertise, primarily Azure (VNETs, DNS, NSG, Load Balancing, routing, identity, private networking).
Infrastructure-as-Code expertise.
CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps; familiarity with GitHub is a plus.
Proficiency with Databricks platform administration:
Workspaces, cluster policies, job orchestration
Unity Catalog, metastore configuration
Storage integration (ADLS)
Solid understanding of cloud networking in enterprise environments.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Knowledge of monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.).
Experience working in Agile/Scrum or SAFe environments.
