Are you energised by analysing large data sets that inform critical business decisions? If so, we invite you to join a global team passionate about building expertise in streaming content accounting.
This role offers the chance to be part of a team dedicated to transforming and redefining entertainment and how it’s enjoyed on the Netflix service. With ongoing investment in a diverse content slate, including original productions, licensed content, and international expansion, there’s never been a better time to join Netflix.

- Ensure the financial integrity of the company’s content commitments, assets (capitalisation), liabilities (payments), and expenses (amortisation).
- Prepare and review monthly accounting entries, reconciliations, CFO metrics, and ad hoc analyses.
- Manage and account for content license contracts in proprietary systems, understanding the full cost of each produced title and applying appropriate accounting guidance.
- Analyse content agreements and transactions (e.g., licensing contracts, talent deals) to interpret contractual terms and apply accounting policies correctly.
- Identify and drive process improvements, challenging existing workflows to enhance efficiency and standardisation across the team.
- Communicate effectively and regularly to ensure alignment and consistency across the wider Content Accounting team.
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with teams outside Content Accounting, including finance and content acquisition.
- Contribute to solutions as Netflix expands its content portfolio and navigates related accounting and operational complexities.
- Fundamentals of Accounting: 3+ years of relevant experience, supported by a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- Attention to Detail & Comfort with Data: Strong ability to work with spreadsheets and system data to reconcile accounts, solve problems, and handle large datasets (e.g., Excel pivot tables).
- Enthusiasm for Learning & Systems: Interest in designing and improving accounting systems. Experience with contract review (revenue, leases, or other complex documents), data analysis, or problem-solving is a plus, with support provided to build content accounting expertise.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Proven ability to ask probing questions, challenge the status quo, and implement process improvements.
- Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to serve as a cross-functional business partner while navigating technical accounting guidance.
- Collaborative Approach: Able to work effectively both independently and in a team, valuing and leveraging diverse perspectives.
