Morgan McKinley is hiring a Software Engineer (Machine Learning & AI) for a 12-month contract with a potential to go perm.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain machine learning algorithms and edge AI models on Android-based IoT devices, ensuring reliable deployment.
• Integrate and optimize machine learning models to enhance performance on Android platforms.
• Work on video and audio processing using machine learning techniques to enable intelligent media analysis on Android devices.
• Develop sensor data processing algorithms to support application functionalities on Android platforms.
• Provide technical support to product and operations teams, and contribute to technical documentation and patent applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related fields, with over 3 years of experience in Android development and machine learning at the framework and system services level.
• Demonstrated success in developing machine learning models and algorithms on Android platforms for commercial products or projects.
• Proficient in Java, Kotlin, or C/C++, with strong programming practices and extensive experience in large-scale software development.
• Familiar with Android kernel components, including interrupt handling, memory management, process scheduling, and device driver development.
• Skilled in analyzing and resolving Android system issues such as deadlocks, crashes, performance bottlenecks, and low power consumption, along with expertise in machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow Lite and PyTorch Mobile.
