Purpose and Summary:
To manage a portfolio within the Corporate Banking Division. The role will focus on maintaining a healthy portfolio and servicing clients’ requirements as well as developing the Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM).
The SRM, with the assistance of the ARM, will provide credit analysis, credit proposals, reviewing existing facilities granted, and monitoring relationship-managed customers’ risk profile.
The SRM will be responsible of submitting credit proposals and other required memos/reports for existing and potential clients in a timely manner, day-to-day operations such as client requests and queries, general house-keeping to ensure there are no irregularities in accounts, monitoring and following up with clients on required documentation and data as well as keeping client files in an organized manner.
Key Deliverables:
- Provide superior customer service exceeding customer expectations related to Project finance and Syndicated deals.
- Develop and convert new customer prospects.
- Conduct thorough due diligence and working with the internal departments to evaluate client deals and business opportunities.
- Deal with agent/lead banks for syndication deals.
- Submit credit proposals and internal memos in a timely manner.
- Assess the credit risk as appropriate with respect to the portfolio.
- Develop and implement agreed actions under customer strategies.
- Regular follow-ups with client to obtain necessary information and documents.
- Monitoring of accounts to ensure deadlines are met.
- Ensure all files are complete with relevant documents.
- Contribute to Banks target for profit growth and customer experience.
- Engage and maintain relationships with other departments within the bank.
- Maintain a high level of teamwork.
- Cross-sell bank products of other departments within the bank to increase income generated from portfolio.
- Adhere to structure and processes in place pertaining to the bank’s credit, operational, reputation and regulatory risk.
- Escalate any cases which may lead to potential operational losses or fraud cases to the Unit Head as appropriate
- Respond within agreed timelines to issues raised by Audit/compliance/regulators
- Maintain awareness of operational risks within portfolios and minimize likelihood of occurrence
- Protect sensitive customer and bank information by ensuring documents, computers, files, and all confidential matters are appropriately handled as set forth by policy.
- Ensure declaration of gift items and maintain highest integrity standard levels
- Ensure deadlines are achieved within bank timelines as per internal policies/regulations.
- Produce proposals of high quality.
- Ensure all activities carried out, is as per standard bank’s protocol, policies, processes & procedures (including AML / CFT related policies & procedures).
- Participate in other related initiatives and projects as assigned or other duties as assigned by management.
- Complete all related tasks as delegated by management or reporting Manager.
- Report any suspicious or irregular activities or transactions (if identified) to Compliance division.
- Reporting misconduct behavior as per the whistle blowing policy.
Qualifications:
A Minimum of Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, business management, accounting or related fields

Experience:
A Minimum of 8 years work experience, preferably in the fields of Finance and accounting with a minimum of 5 years of general Banking experience with a preference related directly to Commercial Banking.
