Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to protect our organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain security measures, monitor for vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), VPNs, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches and respond to incidents in a timely manner.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure system configurations and patch management.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on security best practices.
- Investigate and analyze security incidents, prepare reports, and recommend remediation.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
- Support compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity or related IT roles.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security.
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of security standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+).
