SUMMARY OF ROLE
Lead and manage the Product Development function by designing, enhancing, and overseeing Retail Banking products and value propositions across liabilities, assets, digital channels, and transactional services. Ensure competitive positioning, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and alignment with regulatory and strategic requirements. Drive innovation, product lifecycle management, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver market-leading solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Product Strategy & Development
- Lead the development, enhancement, redesign, and retirement of Retail Banking products including liabilities, assets, credit cards, digital banking, payments, and transactional services.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and propose new product ideas.
- Ensure product profitability through effective pricing models, segmentation, and value proposition design.
- Develop product business cases, feasibility studies, and implementation plans.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of products, ensuring continuous improvement, cost optimization, and customer relevance.
- Monitor product performance KPIs, portfolio trends, customer acquisition, usage, revenue, and attrition.
- Recommend enhancements based on performance analytics and stakeholder feedback.
Compliance, Risk & Governance
- Ensure all products comply with CBO regulations, internal policies, Sharia requirements for Islamic products, and risk frameworks.
- Implement proper controls, documentation, process flows, and audit readiness.
- Coordinate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Operations for approvals and product governance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, IT, Operations, Branches, Digital Banking, Finance, and Contact Center to ensure proper rollout, communication, and product support.
- Ensure efficient delivery of new product features and enhancements through strong project management practices.
- Liaise with external partners, vendors, and service providers to support product delivery and innovation.
Digital & Transformation Leadership:
· Lead digital product transformation and automation initiatives related to Retail – Islamic
· Drive data-driven product design and customer journey optimization
Portfolio & Prioritization Governance:
· Prioritize product roadmap aligned with bank strategy and capital allocation
Data & Analytics Ownership:
· Establish product performance dashboards and data governance standards
· Leverage advanced analytics to drive segmentation and profitability
Succession & Talent Strategy:
· Build product talent pipeline and succession planning framework.
Business Growth & Performance
- Drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, retention, and market share through improved product offerings.
- Recommend campaigns, promotions, and pricing strategies to support business objectives.
People Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and coach the Product Development team to build strong product management capabilities.
- Ensure continuous learning, performance reviews, and collaboration within the team.
- Promote innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity.
- Bachelor Degree, preferably in Marketing or related disciplines.
- Minimum 10-15 years of solid marketing experience in the banking industry, preferably with a strong background in liability products.
