What is your new project?:

A cutting-edge company building deterministic, low-latency real-time data infrastructure for production-grade AI systems. The platform enables scalable and reliable data pipelines designed to power mission-critical AI workloads.

Role

Now they are building a cloud-native SaaS platform that manages and orchestrates software components running inside customer environments. This is a backend role with responsibility across:

  • the SaaS control plane
  • the site control plane (main agent running on customer environments)
  • source agents operating close to customer data paths

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong backend experience with Node.js (TypeScript, NestJS)
  • Proven experience building production-grade backend systems
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, including failure modes and tradeoffs
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider
  • Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
  • Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of security fundamentals (authentication, TLS, encryption)
  • Hands-on experience with observability in production systems, including metrics, logs, and traces
  • Ability to design systems that are observable by default and to debug distributed systems using observability data
  • Excellent debugging skills and strong production ownership
  • Ability to work independently in an early-stage environment
  • At least an Upper-Intermediate level of English

Nice to Have

  • Experience building agent-based or customer-deployed software
  • Experience with Go (Golang) or Python
  • Experience with gRPC or similar RPC frameworks
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, modern SPAs)
  • Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Tempo, Mimir, or ClickHouse
  • Background in platform, infrastructure, or control-plane systems
  • Experience with Nx monorepos or large TypeScript codebases

Your Day-to-day In This Position

  • Design and build backend services for a multi-tenant SaaS platform
  • Design and implement customer-deployed agents (site control plane and source agents)
  • Develop systems using Node.js (TypeScript, NestJS) and/or Go
  • Design APIs, service boundaries, and communication protocols between cloud and on-site components
  • Implement secure authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement
  • Build asynchronous and event-driven workflows across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Ensure systems are observable by design, with meaningful metrics, logs, and traces
  • Own components end-to-end: design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and reliability
  • Participate in architecture decisions across SaaS and agent layers
  • Debug and resolve production issues in distributed and hybrid systems
