The Team

Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation Technology & Transformation (T&T) - Engineering, AI & Data (EAID) - Intelligent Apps Team focuses on developing, implementing, and managing advanced software solutions that leverage Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and data analytics to transform business operations. This team is part of Deloitte Consulting’s Engineering practice, which combines a product-centric mindset with industry-specific insights.

Work you’ll do

Job Title: Junior Fullstack Developer

Relevant Years of Experience - 3+ years

Role Summary

As a Junior Fullstack Node.js Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable and high‑performance applications using Node.js, Nest.js, and modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js/React.

You will work across the backend and frontend, contributing to end-to-end software development while ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability.

Must-have Skills

Backend (Node.js / Nest.js)

1. Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
2. Strong hands-on experience with Node.js
3. Must-have: Experience with Nest.js framework
4. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices
5. Proficiency in writing effective unit and integration tests
6. Experience with Node.js testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jest, Jasmine, Chai, or Sinon
7. Good knowledge of software design principles: design patterns, SOLID principles, clean code
8. Experience with databases (SQL & NoSQL)

Frontend (React / Next.js)

1. Hands‑on experience with React.js
2. Understanding of Next.js (SSR, SSG, ISR, routing, API routes)
3. Strong knowledge of modern UI development, component lifecycles, and state management (Redux/Zustand/Recoil)
4. Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating them into UI applications

DevOps & Architecture

1. Knowledge of Docker (Kubernetes is a plus)
2. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
3. Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, or serverless (nice to have)
4. Experience with code quality tools and static code analysis

Soft Skills

1. Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities
2. Clear communication and collaboration skills
3. Ability to work in an agile team environment

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Good-to have

Azure/GCP/AWS – Application Developer certification
