The Mission

As a core member of the founding engineering team, you will be responsible for maturing the infrastructure as the platform scales from its successful pilot phase to millions of global users.

• Core Backend Focus: You are an expert in the Node.js/TypeScript ecosystem with a deep understanding of server-side architecture.
• Database Specialist: You have a "first-principles" approach to SQL, schema normalization, and complex data migrations.
• Systems Engineer: You have a natural instinct for identifying failure modes and optimizing performance in media-heavy environments.

Your core focuses will include:

• Data Architecture: Leading the transition from a non-relational database to a robust relational schema, managing the migration strategy and data integrity end-to-end.
• Transaction Reliability: Engineering a bulletproof payments and subscription backbone to manage global revenue and entitlements.
• High-Performance Pipelines: Building and optimizing delivery systems for heavy-duty media, focusing on low-latency streaming and global CDN performance.
• Collaborative Primitives: Developing the backend logic for real-time, "multiplayer" user experiences across all platforms.
• Operational Standards: Establishing a culture of "production excellence" through resilient CI/CD, structured observability, and sophisticated deployment workflows.
