DevOps Engineer – Global Trading Infrastructure

Our client is a technology-driven trading firm operating globally across digital asset markets. Our systems run continuously and at scale, supporting real-time decision-making in highly dynamic environments.

We are hiring a Junior Platform Engineer to help support and evolve a distributed infrastructure platform that underpins data acquisition and trading operations worldwide. This role offers early-career engineers meaningful production responsibility, exposure to complex systems, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced infrastructure and development teams.

The role

• Take operational ownership of a globally distributed, always-on platform supporting time-sensitive data pipelines
• Monitor, analyze, and improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency across infrastructure and networking layers
• Partner with software engineers on architecture decisions, deployment strategies, and production readiness
• Collaborate with a central infrastructure function to improve shared tooling, standards, and operational practices
• Work within a multi-region, multi-cloud environment, including evaluating and onboarding new service providers
• Apply Linux and networking knowledge to tuning, troubleshooting, and incident response
• Participate in an on-call rotation while actively working to reduce manual intervention through automation and better design

What we’re looking for

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related STEM discipline
• At least two years of professional experience in an infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering role
• Hands-on production experience in cloud environments, with strong familiarity with AWS and modern networking concepts
• Experience working across multiple regions or cloud providers is highly valued
• Practical scripting or development experience using one or more of the following: Bash, Python, Java, C#, Rust, or similar
• A solid foundation in Linux systems and network fundamentals, with an interest in performance optimization

Desirable experience

• Containerized workloads in production environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk
• Infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalents
