Contract Duration: 6 months (high chance of extension)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a 6-month contract to support the deployment and configuration of Cisco Meraki infrastructure across multiple sites in Canberra. This is a hands-on role involving racking, stacking, cabling, and configuring network hardware, ensuring systems are deployed efficiently and according to best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform physical deployment tasks including racking, stacking, and labeling network hardware.
- Configure and manage Cisco Meraki switches, access points, and firewalls.
- Conduct network testing, validation, and troubleshooting during and post-deployment.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure seamless integration into existing network infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate deployment documentation and asset inventory.
- Follow safety and compliance standards while on-site.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki networking equipment.
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN, VLANs, routing, and wireless networking.
- Experience with network deployment, racking, and stacking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or ability to obtain security clearance if required.
