Senior Data Scientist (6-12 Month Contract, Extendable)
Occasional travel to Munich, Germany
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our client’s team on a full time basis. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures that support advanced analytics, business intelligence, and machine learning use cases.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- 8+ Years as a Data Scientist
• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and advanced analytical solutions.
• Translate business requirements into data science use cases and actionable insights.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) and feature engineering on large datasets.
• Build, validate, and optimise predictive and statistical models.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure scalable data pipelines for model deployment.
• Implement model monitoring, evaluation, and performance tracking.
• Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support productionisation of models and integration into business systems.
WHAT WILL MAKE US HAPPY 🤩
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist (7+ Years) in large-scale organisations.
- Strong programming skills in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.).
- Solid experience with SQL / Postgres.
- Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost).
- Strong understanding of statistical modelling and experimental design.
- Experience deploying models in cloud environments (AWS / Azure).
- Familiarity with MLOps concepts and model lifecycle management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written & spoken).
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with deep learning or NLP
- Familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, etc.)
- Knowledge of data governance, GDPR compliance, and security best practices
- Experience working in cross-functional agile environments
