Purpose Of The Role
As a Web Developer you will help shape and extend the sports betting and e‑Gaming platform that powers our multi‑brand, multi‑market strategy.
You will work across our web applications, CMS and configuration tools to deliver scalable, highly configurable experiences for multiple brands and B2B partners on a single, high‑performance platform, with a strong focus on modern development practices and seamless digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of backend and frontend features, from Rails services to React interfaces, ensuring they work smoothly within our broader platform ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with other engineering teams, UX and product to shape solutions and internal software architecture.
- Stay up to date with modern engineering practices and apply them to coding, testing and deployment, proactively addressing security vulnerabilities, planning framework upgrades and keeping our technology stack current and reliable.
- Monitor and optimise client and server‑side performance, identify and fix bottlenecks, and improve the reliability of our high‑traffic sites using modern observability tools.
- Strong experience with Ruby.
- Solid competence with JavaScript and modern frameworks (we use React heavily).
- Comfortable working across the stack and understanding how frontend, middleware, data and network layers interact and impact performance.
- Experience optimising client and server‑side performance and tuning high‑traffic applications.
- Strong engineering skills: solving problems with simple, elegant solutions, and solid OOP and design‑pattern knowledge, with good problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
- Clear, collaborative communication in English, with the ability to give and receive feedback, work effectively in cross‑functional teams and build productive relationships in a remote environment.
