Barden is thrilled to be working with our client who is a leader in the wholesale and retail industry, to identify a Senior Product Manager to lead transformative initiatives within their organisation. This is a permanent opportunity that will be based out of their Cork HQ offices on a hybrid working basis.


The role will be for someone to lead the strategy, development of their online and digital commerce solutions across a portfolio of retail businesses. This is a broad and dynamic position requiring strategic direction, cross-functional partnership, and active product leadership. You will translate commercial objectives into delivered customer and partner experiences, while building alignment and effectively engaging stakeholders across all levels and departments.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • You leverage customer research to build a strong understanding of user challenges, set clear priorities, and define meaningful success measures.
  • You use data-driven analysis to guide decisions and identify new product opportunities and maintain awareness of market dynamics and emerging trends, using this perspective to shape sustainable differentiation.
  • Utilise qualitative and quantitative inputs to represent user needs, commercial outcomes, and technical considerations when shaping priorities and roadmaps.
  • Provide clarity on the core problem or opportunity being addressed and align your team around that focus - ensuring delivery of end-to-end experiences, collaborating across functions such as design, marketing, sales, and support to enable successful launches.
  • You are fluent in day-to-day product practices, comfortable operating at both detailed and strategic levels, often leading large initiatives while overseeing live products concurrently.
  • You foster alignment on strategy and roadmaps across teams and stakeholders - making timely confident decisions sustaining momentum.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • A third level qualification in IT, Product Management or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5+ years relevant product experience
  • Desirable experience would be operating in an ecommerce or retail environment but not a requirement.
  • Passionate about customer experience and making life simpler with technology.
  • Excellent communication skills, facilitating the building of strong cross functional relationships and using the available expertise and experience to good effect.
