Role Overview: Partnerships department is composed of 300+ people in 20+ countries driving a significant share of Booking.com’s overall business. The department is responsible for all of the demand-facing B2B relationships at Booking.com with full accountability for the demand-facing B2B platform and a suite of products, business development and account management.
At the Partnerships Web and App platform team, our mission is to deliver optimized end‑to‑end product journeys for Affiliate Partners and their end users across web and app, supporting Partnerships’ B2B purpose of bringing in high customer lifetime value bookers through innovative, data‑driven product optimization.
You will collaborate heavily with your teammates and relentlessly improve the quality of our systems and your knowledge.
Key Job Responsibilities And Duties
- Deliver web and app applications from idea inception and validation to a scalable solution.
- Develop new user-facing and partner-facing products and optimize existing ones using both client-side as well as server-side languages and technologies.
- Act as an intermediary for understanding and solving problems, with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Rapidly developing next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance systems, with end-to-end ownership by monitoring and adjusting SLIs and SLOs.
- Advocate a collaborative working environment - make "my ideas" into "our ideas"
- Collaborate with colleagues to ideate solutions for users, prioritizing based on business impact.
- Translate requirements and mockups into fully functioning features using modern Front End development frameworks
- Proactively propose improvement ideas to reduce technical debt and increase the business impact of your team.
We are looking for driven engineers who enjoy solving problems, who initiate solutions and discussions and who believe that any challenge can be scaled with the right approach and tools.
Technical Core
- Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript, React, React Router
- Tooling & Testing: Webpack, Vite, Jest, Playwright (E2E Testing)
- Data & Integration: Web APIs, GraphQL
- Platform & Distribution: Micro-frontends (Module Federation), Cross-Domain Security (CORS/CSP)
- Accessibility: WCAG 2.2
- Nice-to-Have: Docker, Kubernetes, Node.js, Tailwind CSS
- Ownership: Proactive, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently or via pair programming.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives (e.g., partnering with Designers to refine UI/UX).
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical thoughts clearly and mentor others through knowledge sharing.
- Growth: A continuous learner who stays curious and suggests proactive UI improvements. Adept at leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and exploring Generative UI patterns to personalize the partner experience.
