Role Purpose:
You will be responsible for converting engineering CAD data into a complete “150% vehicle dataset,” ensuring it is accurate, configurable, visually correct, and ready for real-time and digital use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert engineering CAD data (Teamcenter) into optimized polygon geometry for real-time visualization.
- Clean, structure, and organize data for digital vehicle pipelines.
- Build and maintain full vehicle configuration sets (markets, trims, options, variants).
- Apply correct pivot points, hierarchy, positioning, and metadata for tool compatibility.
- Assign and verify materials based on official vehicle specifications.
- Perform UV mapping and support material/shader workflows.
- Model and refine soft parts (seats, stitching, piping, interior elements) to high visual standards.
- Validate data quality and completeness prior to release.
- Collaborate closely with visualization artists, designers, and engineering teams.
- Teamcenter / PLM systems
- CATIA or equivalent CAD tools
- Deltagen, Maya or similar DCC tools
- TCViz, CPAM, TCPLM, CAS (meritorious)
- Experience in data preparation, CAD conversion, or technical visualization
- Strong understanding of engineering CAD structures and vehicle build-up
- Knowledge of automotive configuration logic and specification levels
- High attention to detail and structured working approach
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong communication skills
