Product Manager – Consumer Goods
Location: Richmond Hill, ON
Full-Time | $80-90k + Benefits
Synergie is seeking an experienced Product Manager on behalf of our client, a leading supplier of consumer goods sourced internationally and sold to major Canadian and U.S. retailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee licensed brand and private label product development for Canadian retail markets.
- Manage the full product lifecycle — from initial customer presentation and creative concept through sourcing, costing, production, distribution, quality control, and end-of-life.
- Build and maintain B2B relationships with retailers, manufacturers, marketing teams, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Continually source new products and manufacturers while negotiating competitive pricing in line with current economic trends.
- Collaborate with the art department to create product designs, treatments, and packaging that align with brand guidelines and private label requirements.
- Attend industry trade shows to source products and act as the internal product manager for new opportunities.
- Oversee product testing to ensure quality, durability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Support the sales team with presentations, sales materials, and product information for major retail accounts.
- Identify and implement process and product improvements to optimize efficiency and market competitiveness.
Qualifications
- University or College degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Experience working with retailers such as Loblaw, Dollarama, Walmart, or Canadian Tire is a strong asset.
