Overview:

  • Manages diverse projects, including planning, launch, control, and delivery against timelines and budget metrics.
  • Oversees project deliverables through cross-functional teams and resources.
  • Applies knowledge of most aspects of the program down to a reasonable level of detail.
  • Assesses business implications at each stage of the project and works autonomously to develop clear project scope statements, plans, resource requirements, timelines, and budgets on projects of up to 500 tasks, or a similarly-sized part of a larger program.
  • Monitors progress, budget, and deliverables through the team, adjusting plans and priorities to minimize critical paths; balances scope, schedule, and budget considerations to adjust projects with minimal business impact.
  • Anticipates project risks to some degree but works with management or senior project managers to identify most risks and areas requiring supervision or remedial action.
  • Maintains risk management plans reflecting changing probabilities and impacts, presents changes to management for approval, and effectively guides the project team through mitigation plans for identified risks.
  • Coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activities; gathers project status from all team members and updates status reports.
  • Communicates project status at multiple levels, from detailed to high-level summaries; presents updates to audiences ranging from Directors to individual contributors.
  • Manages two to four projects simultaneously within a single team of up to 15 resources and a budget of $500K or less, or manages part of a larger program under the supervision of a Program Manager.
  • Handles simpler multi-team projects with similar resources and budgets.
  • Demonstrates solid knowledge of PMI PMBOK and basic Project Management techniques, including familiarity with vocabulary and process application.
  • Proficient in using project management tools for scheduling and staffing plans.
  • Some knowledge of advanced Project Management techniques.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional certification preferred.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience.


The expected base salary range for this position is $60 – $62 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and internal equity.
