Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cyber Security Analyst to join our growing IT security team. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the company’s networks, systems, and data from security threats. You will actively monitor, detect, and respond to potential cyber incidents, ensuring the security of our IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network traffic and security systems to detect and respond to security breaches or vulnerabilities.
  • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify potential risks and weaknesses.
  • Analyze security incidents, provide detailed reports, and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security tools.
  • Conduct penetration testing and security assessments to identify security flaws in systems and applications.
  • Respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring quick resolution and documentation of the incident.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide security training and awareness programs for employees, promoting a security-conscious culture.
  • Collaborate with other IT and development teams to ensure that security is incorporated into system design and operational processes.
  • Research and stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.
  • Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring that systems are protected and recoverable.
  • Support compliance efforts for standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 2-3 years of experience working in cybersecurity, IT security, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts, tools, and best practices (e.g., firewalls, encryption, penetration testing, threat detection, etc.).
  • Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
  • Familiarity with network security protocols and technologies (e.g., VPNs, IDS/IPS, TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
  • Hands-on experience with common security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and their security configurations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify patterns and investigate security incidents.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting and automation for security tasks (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Understanding of compliance regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or CEH are highly desirable.
  • Experience with endpoint security management and monitoring tools.
  • Knowledge of network architecture and design principles.
  • Familiarity with emerging threats such as advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malware analysis.
  • Experience with incident response and forensic investigation.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps practices and securing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of risk management and business continuity planning.
