Build at the frontier of intelligent systems and financial infrastructure.

We are looking for an Engineering Lead to help build the next generation of intelligent infrastructure across Cubewire and Bixie. This role sits at the intersection of AI, distributed systems, and modern financial infrastructure. You will work directly with the founders and lead a small team of engineers building systems that combine agentic AI, programmable operations, and Web3 infrastructure. If you enjoy solving hard technical problems and building platforms that can operate at global scale, this role is for you.

About the platforms

Bixie

Bixie is a programmable operational intelligence platform that deploys policy-bound AI agents to safely and autonomously execute enterprise operations with full governance and auditability. Bixie enables organisations to deploy operational AI agents that integrate with their internal systems and safely execute real work.

Cubewire

Cubewire provides enterprise-grade Web3 infrastructure including wallet infrastructure, programmable digital asset rails, and blockchain-enabled financial systems designed for regulated institutions. Together, these platforms enable a new class of intelligent financial infrastructure.

The role

As Engineering Lead you will:

• Lead development of core platform capabilities across AI agents, distributed systems, and financial infrastructure

• Architect scalable systems deployed on modern cloud infrastructure (GCP, Kubernetes)

• Build and mentor a high-performing engineering team

• Work closely with founders on product and architecture decisions

• Translate complex ideas into robust production systems

• Establish engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, and development practices

• Drive innovation across AI agents, automation systems, and Web3 infrastructure

This is a hands-on leadership role. We are looking for someone who still enjoys writing code and solving hard engineering problems.

What we’re looking for

Strong candidates typically have experience in several of the following:

• Building large-scale distributed systems

• Modern backend platforms (Go, Node, TypeScript, Python, Rust or similar)

• Cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes

• Event-driven architectures (Kafka, streaming systems)

• AI/LLM systems or applied machine learning

• Blockchain or Web3 infrastructure

• Financial systems, payments, or regulated environments

Just as important is engineering judgement — the ability to design systems that are elegant, scalable and maintainable.
