About the Role
Lab3 is looking for a detail-oriented, proactive QA Lead who can own quality across the full product lifecycle. You'll be the bridge between developers, clients, and stakeholders — making sure nothing ships that shouldn't, and that everyone stays aligned on what's happening and why. This role goes well beyond writing test cases. You'll manage release cycles, drive regression and sanity testing, create and manage Trello tickets from creation through resolution, and communicate directly with clients and shareholders on quality status, timelines, and risks.
You're not just finding bugs — you're enforcing standards. You bring enough technical background to understand what's happening under the hood across our stack (React, Node.js, TypeScript, Firebase/Firestore, Google Cloud, Netlify), and you use that context to write better tickets, ask sharper questions, and catch issues that surface-level testing misses. You understand that QA in a fast-moving team means balancing thoroughness with speed, and you know when to push back on a release and when to flag a known issue and move forward.
This is a full-time position with working hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. We follow the USA holiday calendar. Consistent availability during these hours is non-negotiable.
Excellent written and spoken English is a firm requirement. This role is communication-heavy — you'll be on calls with clients, writing status updates for stakeholders, and coordinating with developers daily. Candidates who do not demonstrate strong English proficiency will not be considered.
Requirements
QA expertise: regression testing, sanity testing, smoke testing, exploratory testing, end-to-end testing, and test plan creation
Release management: managing deployment lifecycles, coordinating release schedules, go/no-go decisions, and post-release validation across staging and production environments
Technical background: working knowledge of ReactJS, Node.js, TypeScript, Firebase (Auth, Functions, Firestore, Storage), Google Cloud, Netlify, and shadcn/ui
Ticket management: creating, triaging, and managing the full lifecycle of Trello tickets with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, and acceptance criteria
Stakeholder communication: direct experience communicating quality status, blockers, and risk assessments to clients, shareholders, and development teams
Strong written and verbal English; ability to document issues clearly and run client-facing calls confidently
Fast learner; able to ramp up on new product areas quickly and adapt testing strategies accordingly
Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple testing efforts simultaneously without dropping context
Availability: 9–5 EST, Mon–Fri, US holidays
