A leading semiconductor giant based in Hamburg are seeking to bolster their team with a talented IT Project Manager.


Please note this is a full-time, on-site, contract position and would require full rights to work in Germany already in place before commencing.


Responsibilities:


  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budget, governance, and resource planning while managing risks, issues, reporting, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Act as the central interface between local and global IT teams (Connectivity, Unified Communications, Lab IT, Workplace IT), Facility Management, construction teams, and external vendors to ensure delivery according to company standards.
  • Manage planning, procurement, installation, configuration, migration, and reuse of hardware for network connectivity (WAN/LAN/SD-WAN), telephony, videoconferencing, digital signage, printing services, workplace setups, and lab environments.
  • Ensure IT infrastructure requirements are incorporated into building design and construction, coordinate phased migration and go-live activities, and develop detailed cutover plans, runbooks, and rollback strategies.
  • Plan and supervise secure shutdown, asset disposal or reuse, data destruction, documentation updates (e.g., CMDB), and regulatory compliance throughout decommissioning activities.


Requirements:


  • Demonstrated experience leading complex infrastructure or relocation projects in global IT environments.
  • Solid knowledge of network infrastructure, workplace IT, unified communications, lab IT environments, and enterprise connectivity standards.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with global teams, real estate, facilities, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in German and English, with the ability to produce structured project documentation and executive reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management, risk awareness, organisational skills, and the ability to drive topics independently to completion.
