What You’ll Do 🎯
- Monitor, analyze, and investigate accounts and behavioural data to identify potential fraud.
- Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets for fraud detection and prevention.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and fraud monitoring tools
- Support the creation of fraud detection rules and alerts.
- Work cross-functionally with account management, data, product, and engineering teams to improve fraud controls.
- Document and report findings, providing actionable insights to stakeholders
- Assist in identifying emerging fraud trends and recommend proactive countermeasures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Advanced Problem-Solving: A proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide effective, solution-oriented resolutions for challenging or technical user issues in a timely manner.
- Data Orientation: Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying trends or anomalies. Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis. Experience with Python or R for data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning is a strong plus.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated experience in meeting or exceeding KPIs, multi-tasking effectively, prioritising your workload, and contributing to improving existing processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
- You are a proactive problem-solver who thrives on transforming complex issues into positive experiences, acting as a true expert.
- You possess a calm, empathetic demeanor even when facing challenging situations.
- You are driven by impact, eager to contribute not just to individual resolutions but also to the continuous improvement of our overall quality and strategic operations.
- You are a natural collaborator, ready to both learn and lead, working closely with the Fraud Lead and managing relationships with external partners in a fast-changing environment.
