We are looking for an experienced Security Architect to join a dynamic and innovative team. In this role, you will evaluate the current infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and drive the implementation of robust security solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance security posture, implement best practices, and ensure the organization is well-prepared to address emerging threats.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping the security architecture and processes of a forward-thinking organization.

Feel free to work remotely from anywhere across Latvia or connect with colleagues at our Riga office.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and respond to emerging threats (e.g., SHA1-Hulud, Log4j) by conducting deep dives and engaging with teams for follow-ups
  • Design and implement processes and tools to help teams understand and improve their security posture
  • Manage vulnerability management for code repositories and running instances
  • Implement and maintain SAST and DAST tools
  • Conduct secrets scanning and infrastructure scanning (e.g., using tools like Hadrian)
  • Select, implement, deploy, and maintain security tool stacks and vendor systems
  • Propose and promote best practices for security-related workflows and data governance
  • Collaborate with teams to enhance their security posture through hands-on work and process improvements
  • Act as the Product Manager for Security for cross-team initiatives by scoping, planning, and breaking down deliverables into smaller milestones
  • Lead and coordinate security projects, such as establishing a unified internal RBAC model, implementing network segmentation, and defining internal service-to-service security models
  • Curate and manage data governance to ensure teams and assets are properly covered

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Security Architect with a focus on software and architecture (not compliance)
  • Hands-on technical skills, including the ability to use a CLI and file PRs
  • Strong knowledge of security tools and their implementation challenges in an organizational context
  • Experience with SAST, DAST, vulnerability management tools, and secrets scanning
  • Familiarity with infrastructure scanning tools (e.g., Hadrian or similar)
  • Ability to design and implement scalable security processes and frameworks
  • Self-driven and proactive, with excellent organizational and coordination skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to teach and empower teams to improve their security practices
  • Experience in breaking down complex projects into smaller, actionable deliverables and managing milestones

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of network segmentation and service-to-service security models
  • Experience with RBAC models and their implementation in large organizations
  • Familiarity with data governance practices and tools
  • Exposure to emerging security threats and mitigation strategies
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of modern infrastructure and cloud security challenges
  • Previous experience as a security-focused product manager or in a similar role
