Position : Junior IT Officer

Department : IT

Reports to : IT Manager


Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our IT Support team as Junior IT Officer to be a 1st Line IT Helpdesk Support Technician.

The ideal candidate will be in charge of helping 3 IT officers for providing first-line technical support to internal users (around 100 users), ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and services.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide first-line support for IT-related issues via phone, email, and ticketing system.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues.
  • Assist users with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT equipment and software.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the IT Officer.
  • Maintain accurate records of all support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Assist in the setup of new employee workstations, including hardware installation and software configuration.
  • Provide basic training and guidance to users on IT systems and best practices.
  • Participate in the improvement of IT processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure excellent customer service.


Qualifications


  • BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) or Bachelor in IT or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Good knowledge of Apple mobile phone.
  • Familiarity with common software applications such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Office 365.
  • Knowledge of Windows server, Active Directory, DHCP and DNS server.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to providing high-quality support.


Preferred Skills


  • Experience with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of IT security best practices.
  • Experience working in a helpdesk or technical support role.
