About the rol:

The selected person will be a key member of the Payments Team, acting as Product Owner for KYC. You will play a critical role in shaping, evolving, and maintaining the company’s KYC and customer identity verification products, owning the full product lifecycle in a highly regulated environment.

This role sits at the intersection of product, compliance, risk, and technology, ensuring KYC capabilities support regulatory requirements, business growth, and a seamless customer experience.

Your responsibilities:

• Own the product development, evolution, and maintenance of the company’s KYC, player verification, and onboarding features

• Manage and prioritise the KYC product roadmap throughout the full product lifecycle, balancing regulatory requirements, player experience, and business objectives

• Define the KYC product vision and translate gambling regulatory, compliance, and operational needs into clear written specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

• Ensure functional and non-functional requirements for KYC processes (identity verification, age verification, source of funds, ongoing monitoring, and remediation) are defined in detail

• Evaluate the quality of ongoing project work and ensure delivery proceeds according to agreed scope, timelines, and regulatory deadlines

• Gather, analyse, and prioritise requirements from Compliance, AML, Fraud, Operations, and Customer Support teams

• Work closely with Development, Design, Project Management, Compliance, and external KYC/IDV providers to deliver scalable and compliant solutions

• Define long-term, short-term, and daily priorities to guide the Development Team

• Support internal stakeholders to ensure KYC solutions meet licensing obligations across multiple jurisdictions

• Continuously assess usability, performance, and effectiveness of KYC flows, optimising for player conversion, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance

• Monitor regulatory changes, industry standards, and best practices related to online gambling, AML, KYC, and player protection

Your critical abilities:

• Technical background or education (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems) or equivalent hands-on experience working with technical teams

• Comfortable understanding system architectures, APIs, integrations, and technical constraints, and translating them into clear product requirements

• Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a regulated industry (ideally within KYC, AML, compliance, risk, in an industry like online gambling, fintech, payments, or similar)

• Strong understanding of KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements within the gambling sector

• Experience working with third-party KYC, Identity Verification, or fraud prevention providers is a strong plus

• Able to communicate effectively with engineers and challenge solutions when needed, without acting as a hands-on developer

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and results-driven profile

• Fluent English level
