About The Opportunity
We're hiring on behalf of an AI-native law firm rebuilding legal services from the ground up.
Legal is a trillion-dollar industry still operating on legacy workflows. This company is changing that by embedding AI directly into how legal work gets done — enabling lawyers to focus on judgment and outcomes, not low-leverage manual work.
Backed by $9M+ funding from a tier-1 US VC, the product is already used daily by real lawyers on real cases. Its still early — and this is a chance to shape the product foundation.
The Role
This is a frontend product engineering role focused on building the user layer where trust in AI is earned.
You will translate powerful backend and agent capabilities into clear, controllable, high-trust interfaces for legal professionals.
Think:
- Cursor-like environments for legal work
- Agent interaction surfaces
- Document review workflows
- Complex, state-heavy product UX
What You'll Build
- High-trust agent interaction interfaces (chat, actions, citations)
- Document review & editing workflows (diffs, comments, apply/reject flows)
- Matter views, dashboards, and workflow states
- Scalable UI patterns in Next.js + TypeScript
- State architectures enabling rapid feature shipping
What We're Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Next.js and TypeScript
- Proven frontend product engineering experience
- Experience designing scalable UI patterns
- Strong state management experience
- Solid understanding of backend API integration
- Ability to translate product goals into user workflows
- Document editors, dashboards, or workflow tools
- Early-stage startup experience
- AI-driven or data-heavy products
- Collaborative UI features (comments, multi-user states)
- Legal tech or B2B SaaS exposure
You likely:
- Think in systems, not just components
- Care deeply about UX clarity and trust
- Ship fast and iterate from real feedback
- Thrive in ambiguity and early-stage environments
- Are comfortable working closely with product and domain experts
- £100k–£200k base
- Meaningful equity ownership
- Unlimited budget for AI coding tools
- Annual offsite in Mallorca
- Remote-first culture
- Optional London or New York office access
- Must work within GMT-5 to GMT+1 timezones
- Must be able to travel to London every 5–6 weeks (expenses covered)
- Work authorization required in country of residence
- True early-stage product impact — build from the ground up
- AI-native product with real usage
- Tight feedback loop with lawyers
- Small, high-caliber engineering team
- High ownership + high trust environment
