We are seeking a Research Assistant to join Dr. Mikael Benson’s research group at the Division of Ear, Nose, and Throat Diseases within the Department of Clinical Science, Intervention and Technology (CLINTEC). Research and education at the division encompass various aspects of high‑resolution identification of disease mechanisms, biomarkers, and drug targets. We offer a dynamic environment at the forefront of research in these fields, promoting innovation and exploration.
The position is a temporary position for 6 months.
Your mission
You will work in a multidisciplinary project aimed at identifying disease mechanisms, biomarkers, and drug targets for early cancer diagnosis and prevention. Your tasks will include performing machine learning and statistical analyses of such mechanisms and biomarkers, chemically evaluating drug targets under the supervision of Dr. Benson, and compiling data for publications and presentations. In addition, you will collaborate with researchers in Sweden and internationally and participate in various project meetings.Your profile
We are seeking an ambitious and skilled researcher with documented experience in the following areas:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry
- Masters's degree in Precision Medicine
- Degree in computer Science
- Experience with single-cell analyses, including spatial technologies
Experience in the following areas is considered meritorious:
- Deep- and machine learning
As a person, you are thorough and structured in your work.
You have strong collaboration and communication skills and can easily work together with colleagues and external partners. Since the research environment is international, you need to have strong English skills, both spoken and written.What do we offer?
