For one of key clients in Northern Sweden we are recruiting several HSE Managers on lucrative long term consultancy contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of HSE policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with Swedish legislation, corporate requirements, and international best practices.
- Drive a strong and visible safety culture through coaching, training, and active engagement with employees and contractors.
- Ensure full compliance with local, national, and EU environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Oversee risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective and preventive action programs.
- Monitor, analyze, and report HSE performance, providing regular updates to senior management and relevant authorities.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency to continuously enhance HSE performance.
- Lead emergency preparedness and response planning to ensure operational readiness for critical incidents.
- Partner closely with operational leaders to integrate safety into daily production and maintenance activities.
- Conduct internal HSE audits and inspections, and support external regulatory audits.
- Represent the organization in external HSE forums, industry networks, and stakeholder discussions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is advantageous).
- Minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in HSE management, ideally within heavy industry, steel, manufacturing, or energy sectors.
