Software Developer (Django)

Hirex is a fast-growing Applicant Tracking System and onboarding platform for modern HR teams. We help companies run hiring and onboarding in a smoother, more structured way, and give candidates a better experience along the way.

We are a small, product-focused team building a system used daily by real companies. We care about clarity in both product and code. We ship often, iterate quickly, and keep the architecture understandable.

We are hiring a full-stack developer who is comfortable working across backend and frontend, and who enjoys taking ownership of meaningful product work.

What we are looking for

• Strong Django and Python fundamentals. You are comfortable with the ORM, migrations, signals, and common Django patterns. Experience with DRF, Celery, Channels, or similar tools is a plus.
• You do not need to be a frontend specialist, but you should be able to build clean, maintainable UI with server-rendered approaches, write good HTML/CSS, and add interactivity when needed. You understand usability and structure, not just visuals.
• You can design data models, write efficient queries, and think about performance tradeoffs. PostgreSQL experience is valuable.
• Clear communication. Whether it is a pull request description, a product discussion, or a technical note, you explain your reasoning simply.
• High ownership and self-direction. You will get context and goals, not step-by-step instructions. You can break down ambiguous problems, prioritize, ask good questions, and ship without constant supervision.
• Curiosity about the whole system. We value developers who want to understand how the product works end to end. Backend decisions affect UX. UX decisions affect architecture. You are interested in that connection.
