Position: PHP Developer
Type: Part-Time Contract
Compensation: $30 – $60/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10 – 40 hrs/week
Role Overview :
Our customer’s team is seeking an experienced PHP Developer to contribute to complex web development projects and deliver robust, scalable backend solutions. This role is ideal for developers who thrive in remote environments, enjoy collaborative engineering work, and are passionate about building high-quality web applications. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for working with a global team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain dynamic PHP-based web applications with high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and technical architecture.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Integrate third-party APIs and web services to extend application functionality.
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing with the wider team.
- Adapt to evolving project requirements and continuously improve system performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Strong experience in professional PHP development.
- Strong web development knowledge including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relational databases.
- Proven experience building and maintaining scalable web applications.
- Solid understanding of OOP principles, MVC frameworks, and RESTful API development.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience working on high-traffic, customer-facing platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud services, containerization, or DevOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
