ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, debug, and maintain Python-based automation scripts and applications.
- Refactor existing Python scripts to align with enterprise automation standards and evolving business needs.
- Design and build scalable, flexible, and maintainable automation frameworks using Python.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.
- Utilize version control systems (GitHub) and issue tracking tools (JIRA) to manage work and collaborate effectively.
- Improve test coverage, enhance release velocity, and support production stability through automation and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- 4–6 years of overall professional experience.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Strong expertise with GitHub and Jenkins.
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Background working in an Agile development environment.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience supporting federal projects, preferably CMS.
- Exposure to or understanding of mainframe systems.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
