Type: Contract until 6/30/26 (likely extensions)

Hourly Rate Range: $45-50-/+/hr (variable dependent)
Must Have Skills
- 4+yrs as a UI/UX Designer designing accessible and mobile friendly web application UI
- 4+yrs Front-end web development using (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular).
- 4+yrs Designing user interfaces using, Adobe XD, Figma for prototyping, user flows and wireframes.
- 4+yrs Identifying, documenting and implementing accessibility, mobile and usability standards, processes and guidance into an organization ( (e.g WCAG 2.1 AA or higher and American Disabilities Act (ADA) Section 508)
- 2+yrs Using Accessibility tools and techniques to ensure compliance with requirements, such as, Lighthouse, Axe dev, NVDA, Aria, jaws, ANDI)
- Experience working in another Government agency.
- Experience working with Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.
- UX certifications or training in UX design and accessibility standards.
The UI/UX Designer will plan, identify and document standards, processes and guidance for custom applications user interfaces, specifically reviewing applications for meeting accessibility WCAG 2.1 AA compliance.
The candidate will work with Custom Apps Supervisors and Application Architect Lead along with collaborations with other IT staff and development teams to translate functional needs into user-friendly designs, conduct accessibility testing, and ensure applications provide consistent, responsive experience across devices and assistive technologies.
To be successful, the designer will need to take initiative and own tasks or products, plan work along with being self-motivating including excellent communications, time management, listening, collaboration, problem solving and adaptability skillsets.
