Job Description

We are hiring two Global SVP, Data/AI roles — one focused on Banking & Financial Services and one focused on Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT).

We are seeking a practitioner-first Global SVP, Data & AI with commercial instincts — a seasoned leader who combines deep technical mastery, strategic insight, and the ability to inspire confidence and excitement in clients and internal stakeholders alike.Reporting to the Global Head of Data & AI, this individual will act as a senior advisor to our clients — helping them understand the strategic implications of Data and AI, define where and how to invest, and translate vision into actionable initiatives that lead to delivery work for Endava’s global engineering and data teams.

The successful candidate will be both a practitioner and a commercial leader:
someone who can credibly engage with senior client stakeholders on Data and AI strategy, while also driving the presales and advisory activities that create commercial demand. This role requires a balance of technical understanding, business acumen, and storytelling — helping clients see how Data and AI can be applied to achieve tangible business outcomes, responsibly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:


Practitioner-Led Client Advisory & AI Architecture

  • Serve as a senior executive advisor to client C-suite and technology leaders on AI-driven transformation, grounded in real-world delivery experience.
  • Lead strategic conversations on AI/ML architecture, platform modernization, model lifecycle management, governance, risk, and responsible AI.
  • Move beyond vision-setting — help clients define how AI systems will be architected, operationalized, scaled, and governed in complex enterprise environments.
  • Provide credible guidance on algorithmic design, model performance, data strategy, explainability, and AI risk management.

Commercial Growth & Opportunity Shaping

  • Partner with Client Partners, GTM, and Delivery leaders to originate, shape, and scale Data & AI engagements across North America.
  • Translate executive AI strategy discussions into structured, commercially viable programs and delivery roadmaps.
  • Identify high-value AI use cases aligned to measurable business outcomes (revenue growth, risk reduction, operational efficiency).
  • Actively contribute to revenue growth, pipeline expansion, and strategic account development.

Thought Leadership & Market Presence

  • Represent Endava’s Data & AI point of view in executive briefings, industry forums, conferences, and client workshops.
  • Inspire confidence and excitement about the potential of AI through compelling storytelling grounded in practical experience.
  • Contribute to whitepapers, strategic insights, and public-facing content that elevate Endava’s brand in AI.
  • Serve as a visible practitioner-evangelist for responsible, value-driven AI adoption.

Cross-Sector Insight with Transferable Excellence

  • Work across sectors while bringing depth in Banking & Financial Services OR TMT.
  • Transfer best practices in AI architecture, governance, and scaling across industries.
  • Ensure Endava clients benefit from leading-edge approaches informed by hands-on expertise.

Executive Credibility & Leadership

  • Engage confidently with C-level executives, engineering leaders, data scientists, and product teams.
  • Bridge deep technical conversations and board-level strategic discussions seamlessly.
  • Model Endava’s values of partnership, curiosity, and integrity while building long-term trusted relationships.

Domain-Led Industry Impact - Bring deep industry expertise in either

  • Banking, Payments, Capital Markets, or Financial Services:
    fraud detection, credit risk modeling, AML, regulatory compliance, hyper-personalization, operational automation.
  • Technology, Media, and Telco (TMT):
    intelligent network optimization, predictive maintenance, customer analytics, content personalization, AI-enabled platforms, monetization models, and digital ecosystem transformation.

Qualifications

Practitioner-First AI Leadership

  • 15+ years in Data & AI, with a proven track record of architecting and delivering production-grade AI/ML solutions, not just advising on strategy.
  • Deep technical foundation in AI/ML including algorithms, statistical modeling, optimization, and model lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience designing scalable AI architectures across cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data ecosystems.
  • Prior experience leading AI engineering, data science, or applied AI teams.

Strong Mathematical & Coding Background

  • Academic or equivalent foundation in computer science, mathematics, engineering, statistics, or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated fluency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or similar, and familiarity with ML frameworks and data engineering stacks.
  • Deep understanding of model performance, risk, bias, explainability, and AI governance.

Inspirational AI Thought Leader

  • Passionate advocate for AI’s transformative potential — able to energize clients and teams around what’s possible.
  • Visible thought leadership:
    public speaking, publications, executive briefings, or industry representation.
  • Ability to bridge detailed technical discussions with board-level strategic conversations.

This role is ideal for a leader who

  • Began their career as a technical AI practitioner,
  • Built and led AI teams,
  • Then evolved into an executive who drives strategy, growth, and industry impact.

Domain expertise

  • Banking, Payments, Capital Markets, or Financial Services:

  • Technology, Media, and Telco (TMT):

Additional Requirements

  • Remote-first role, with a preference for candidates based on the East Coast of North America.
  • Travel will be required to meet clients and attend internal or industry events (approximately 30–40% of time).
  • Valid passport and driver’s license required.
  • Occasional attendance at tradeshows or live events may require light physical activity (lifting up to 25 lbs).

  • Participation in both internal meetings and external meetings via video calls, as necessary.
