We are looking for a seasoned Senior Android Engineer to join the Driver progression team in Tallinn, Estonia. This is a cross-functional team within the Driver experience domain, consisting of Backend Engineers, Mobile Engineers, QA Engineers, Product Owner, Product Analyst, and Product Designer.
As a team, our goal is to make it easier for our users to understand their progress and achievements on our platform. We are working on redefining the information architecture for mobile apps to make the UX more natural and intuitive. Our team owns a big part of driver mobile apps like loyalty programs, partner offers and earnings. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the modular architecture and to constantly optimize the apps to keep it fast and responsive.
Please note: This position requires physical relocation to Estonia in the near term. Unfortunately, remote work from Ukraine is not possible for this role.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll own Android features end to end, influence technical direction, and help raise the bar for engineering excellence across the Android platform.

As a Senior Engineer, you’ll own Android features end to end, influence technical direction, and help raise the bar for engineering excellence across the Android platform.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Own Android features end-to-end, from technical design and implementation to release, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, and QAs to shape and deliver impactful product initiatives.
- Continuously improve code quality through refactoring, performance optimization, and proactive reduction of technical debt.
- Own the Android release process, including deployment to the Google Play Store, monitoring crashes, and resolving regressions.
- Contribute to platform-wide initiatives through the Android Guild and quarterly Engineering Weeks focused on innovation, experimentation, and technical improvements.
- You have deep expertise in the Android platform, including SDK internals, application lifecycle, and the broader Android ecosystem.
- You are highly proficient in Kotlin, with a strong command of advanced language features, functional programming concepts, and the standard library.
- You bring a strong architectural mindset, with practical experience applying Clean Architecture principles and MVVM/MVI design patterns.
- Experience writing robust unit and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso, Compose Test) and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams through clear communication.
- You are comfortable owning features end to end and independently delivering production-ready solutions.
- You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in cross-functional, product-driven teams.
