Backend Engineer

Salary range: Rs 2500000 - Rs 3000000 (ie INR 25-30 LPA)

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to build and enhance scalable backend systems powering AI-driven workflows and real-time communication services. This role involves developing high-performance APIs, integrating with external systems, and contributing to architectural evolution in a fast-paced, innovation-focused environment.

You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and leadership to design resilient systems and continuously improve platform performance, observability, and deployment practices.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enhance features within a multi-agent AI workflow engine
• Build and optimize real-time telephony and conversation-processing services
• Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and third-party integrations, including dealer management systems
• Participate in code reviews and uphold high engineering standards
• Improve system observability, monitoring, and reliability
• Contribute to deployment workflows and infrastructure improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to evolve system architecture and scalability
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python and/or Node.js
• Experience working with LLM-based systems or AI-driven applications
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases
• Solid understanding of backend system design and API architecture
• Familiarity with infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and system monitoring
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
