We are seeking a highly skilled Materials / Thin-Film Deposition Engineer to join our quantum hardware fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science, thin-film deposition processes, and nanofabrication, particularly for superconducting devices. This role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining thin-film processes for superconducting materials and associated device stack elements.

- MSc/M.Tech/PhD in Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a related field.
- Experience in thin-film deposition techniques including PVD, sputtering, evaporation, ALD or similar UHV deposition systems.
- Strong understanding of superconducting materials (Al, Nb, TiN, NbN, etc.) and their processing requirements.
- Hands-on experience with cleanroom fabrication tools, film stress management, contamination control, and film characterization (AFM, SEM, XRD, ellipsometry, profilometry).
- Experience developing or optimizing materials processes for quantum, low-temperature devices is a plus.
- Knowledge of cryogenic device performance, coherence-limiting mechanisms, and material-device interactions is a plus.
- Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
