Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
- Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure maximum uptime and reliability
- Troubleshoot network-related problems and perform root cause analysis to mitigate future occurrences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement network security measures
- Document network configurations and maintain up-to-date records of all network devices and settings
- Assist in the planning and execution of network upgrades, migrations, and expansions
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance network performance and security
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP) and configurations
- Experience with routing and switching technologies from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)
- Familiarity with network security principles and tools (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable
