About The Role

We are seeking a skilled React Developer to join our dynamic team on a hybrid remote basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on an innovative cloud-based time and attendance platform that leverages cutting-edge technologies such as geofencing, artificial intelligence, and facial recognition. The successful candidate will primarily focus on front-end development, including rebuilding the web portal, while also contributing to back-end and mobile development to deliver comprehensive end-to-end solutions.

In this position, you will collaborate with a small, dedicated team within a larger development community that adheres to AWS best practices and maintains a robust CI/CD environment. Your work will directly impact the enhancement of features and overall system performance, ensuring a seamless user experience for clients and end-users. The role offers a blend of technical challenge, innovative project work, and the opportunity to grow within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, demonstrating expertise in modern front-end frameworks and back-end development. Strong proficiency in React and Typescript is essential, with experience in React Native considered a plus. Candidates should also have solid knowledge of back-end programming languages and experience working with SQL, HTML, and CSS. Bonus points will be awarded to applicants with relevant AWS infrastructure experience, showcasing their ability to work within cloud environments. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to development, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

  • Build and enhance features for the web and React Native applications, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Develop and implement new functionalities, taking ownership of features from conception through deployment.
  • Write comprehensive tests to ensure system robustness and fix bugs promptly to maintain optimal performance.
  • Review pull requests from team members, providing constructive feedback and maintaining coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the system with the wider portfolio of products managed by the parent company.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve system architecture, performance, and user experience based on customer and team feedback.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
