About The Role
VIQU is seeking a highly skilled Senior iOS Developer to join a large-scale, digitally driven organization based in Leicester. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary ranging from £61,900 to £66,200. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the organization’s customer-facing mobile applications. This position is highly technical and hands-on, requiring a developer who can influence architectural decisions, mentor development squads, and establish best practices across the iOS development lifecycle. The Senior iOS Developer will work within a high-traffic, enterprise environment, contributing to the design, development, and continuous improvement of iOS applications that serve a broad user base.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in iOS application development, with proven experience in building and deploying high-quality apps. Essential qualifications include expertise in Swift and SwiftUI, with exposure to Swift 6 and iOS 18+ frameworks. A deep understanding of the Apple ecosystem, native app architecture, and experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services are critical. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps, is required. Candidates should have experience in unit and UI testing using Swift Testing and XCUITest, along with a solid understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Additional desirable skills include experience with accessibility features, multi-language support, and complex deeplinking solutions.
Responsibilities
The Senior iOS Developer will be responsible for establishing and influencing the architectural foundations of performant iOS applications. They will design and implement new features across white-label iOS apps using Swift and SwiftUI, ensuring interfaces are adaptive and scalable across various devices such as phones and tablets. Mentoring 1-2 iOS development squads, the developer will provide technical leadership, code reviews, and guidance to ensure best practices are followed. Collaboration with Product Owners, UX designers, and Marketing teams will be essential to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. The role involves continuous review and improvement of the iOS app offerings, managing deployments, and overseeing Azure DevOps build pipelines. Additionally, the developer will work closely with architects and backend teams to define standards, integrate RESTful APIs, and implement complex deeplinking solutions to enhance app functionality and user experience.
