We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support one of our largest clients in the sustainability software sector, based in Melbourne. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and document existing business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
• Define and propose practical solutions that align with business requirements and strategic goals.
• Collaborate with development, implementation, product, DevOps, and VTech teams to design, validate, and deliver application solutions.
• Ensure applications meet quality standards through robust testing programs and validation activities.
• Prepare user manuals, training materials, and conduct sessions to support adoption.
• Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement of solutions.
• Lead product demonstrations and workshops with clients to showcase functionality and capture requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, use cases, and technical specifications for the delivery team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in similar roles.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio).
• Understanding of database management systems, application integration, and software development.
• Must be comfortable working in a non-traditional industry and adapt well to unique, innovative environments.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Preferred software development implementation experience.
• Background in the waste management sector is highly valued.
