The Work You'll Do
Everything is based in the Cloud nowadays. But everything quickly becomes nothing without successful systems on the back-end. Here at Sovos, we have millions of data transactions running through our systems every day. Without our robust, agile Cloud Operations, we would not be able to deliver our SaaS products - and would not be able to Solve Tax for Good. This is where you come in.
As part of Sovos Cloud Operation/engineering organization, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance and scalability of Sovos Saas offering. You will have many opportunities to bring tremendous impact to our Cloud Infrastructure Saas products and customer experience while constantly learning new things.
The Site Reliability Engineer III in Sovos should have a good understanding of Applications, Cloud architecture and is proficient with Monitoring tools and Technologies.

The Site Reliability Engineer III in Sovos should have a good understanding of Applications, Cloud architecture and is proficient with Monitoring tools and Technologies.
More Specifically, You Will
- Define and implement processes to maintain software products’ configuration and infrastructure servers’ configuration
- Maintain applications and tools within the Development team throughout the SDLC
- Create documentation following industry standards for process definition and user training purposes
- Work within an agile team to develop software solutions and provide guidance of best practices within Configuration Management
- Re-evaluate current Configuration Management practices to propose improvements regularly
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field
- Knowledge of SaaS technologies and SDLC processes
- Experience with scripting languages such as Powershell, Python, Go
- Familiarity with versioning software like Git
- Experience in application monitoring, data storage, and cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of the software delivery lifecycle, experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools such as Azure DevOps or TeamCity
- Familiar with infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, or Puppet)
- Worked with cloud deployment, monitoring, and operation analysis tools (Grafana, Nagios )
- Team mentality and willingness to share knowledge and ideas
- Great communication skills, written and verbal.
- Advanced in English (multi-regional team), Spanish or Portuguese desirable.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Availability to perform some off-hour responsibilities and emergency oncall shifts.
