12 MONTH REMOTE CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY


The translation and localization project manager facilitates the planning, coordination and delivery of multilingual copy and visual assets across digital and print platforms. This role facilitates processes and timelines for the translation of written and audiovisual assets, including patient education materials and institutional communications. The project manager receives translation requests and manages them through final delivery, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely completion. This includes file preparation, coordination with vendors, updating systems, and ensuring timely communication with project stakeholders. The project manager works closely with the translation and localization specialist and program managers in the department, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute translation projects. This includes understanding the project scope, analyzing requests to identify potential risks, and executing the translation work with vendors. This role ensures translated content is accurate, culturally appropriate, on brand, and delivered on time and within budget.


Responsibilities include:

  • Receiving translation requests and managing them through to final delivery to requestor
  • Obtaining quotes for projects and receiving partner approval for billing
  • Assembling and verifying the completeness and accuracy of project files; ensuring the right documents are sent for translation
  • Scheduling and assigning work to vendors and/or third-party reviewers
  • Assisting with website translations and quality assurance checks
  • Conducting basic QA on translated materials (terminology, formatting, layout, file integrity)
  • Helping manage visual assets (graphics, illustrations) by preparing files or exporting elements needed for translation
  • Using appropriate translation workflows to support the complete and timely delivery of project assets to requestors.
  • Communicating project status updates and escalating issues when needed
  • Maintaining organized project records in designated internal platforms


Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Fluent in English
  • Basic knowledge of a translation management system (experience with GlobalLink preferred)
  • Familiarity with Excel and other project management systems (Airtable, Monday.com, and SharePoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow structured workflows and meet deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication
