We are now looking for a Future Talent in IT, Integrations Developer Trainee to join our team.

Your role and goals

As a trainee in the Integration team, you will learn about technical development of new and existing integrations as part of the Integrations Team. In this role you will find out about planning, developing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between different systems. Together with other developers and architects, as well as with database and application specialists, you will learn hands on how to develop integrations.

In this role:

  • You will become familiar with the technical development of Enterprise Integrations using standardized patterns and a dedicated development platform (FRENDS).
  • You will find out how about technologies such as REST API, SOAP Web Services, file transfers and database ETL.
  • You will focus on data manipulation (using XML/XSLT conversion) and automation.
  • You learn in close cooperation with both technical specialists and system administrators.

During this traineeship you will create new capabilities and your work will have a true impact on Aalto students, researchers and teachers. You will be able to shape your work based on your interest areas.

We hope you are ready to commit to work with us at least for 8 months. The work is full time during summer and part time during the academic year, when there is teaching (arrangement is flexible based on studies). There is potential for an extension beyond this period. Our aim is that you will work with us for a longer period flexibly in a way that supports your studies and allows you to develop your competence in your chosen IT area.

As part of Future Talent in IT program we offer you a mentor, onboarding and training sessions and networking with other trainees. We have several trainees in this program working in the fields of Integrations, Generative AI, Machine Learning & Analytics, and CDO Office.

Your Experience And Ambitions

You will be a perfect fit if:

  • You are currently a student in a Finnish higher educational institute
  • You have some experience with programming or other related software or backend development such as UI or Web Design, database technologies, JSON/XML
  • You are eager to learn how integrations are built!
