Our client is seeking an experienced professional to lead the protection and optimization of their network infrastructure. This role focuses on designing robust security strategies, managing complex network devices, and ensuring secure access across hybrid and cloud environments.

- Develop and deploy security strategies to protect networks against cyberattacks and unauthorized access.
- Configure and maintain critical security infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance continuously to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
- Resolve complex network security issues and provide advanced technical support to cross-functional teams.
- Automate network tasks using scripting to improve operational efficiency and consistency.
- You have 8+ years of experience in network management, specifically with routers, switches, and routing protocols.
- You possess expert-level knowledge in managing firewalls, VPN solutions, proxy servers, and load balancers.
- You bring advanced expertise in ExpressRoute, ISP connectivity, WiFi, DNS, and TACACS.
- You have a deep understanding of securing cloud environments and implementing Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
- You possess skills in network automation and operational efficiency using scripting languages.
- You bring thorough knowledge of network security standards and cryptographic protocols.
- You are a collaborative leader with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- You are fluent in French or Dutch with good knowledge of the other language and English.
- Willingness to obtain professional certifications in network management and security.
- Familiarity with operating systems used in network environments.
- Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers
- Location: Brussels (hybrid)
- Duration: long term engagement
