Tietoevry Tech Services drives enterprise-wide transformation across customers’ business processes, applications, and infrastructure. Thanks to growing demand in our business we are looking for a new colleague, Head of Software Development, to join and extend our SW Development global leadership team.

We are an experienced global team from 7 countries consisting of 400 experts in software development area. We provide services for custom-made business applications ranging from design, implementation, testing, rewriting, re-platforming, operation and maintenance.

With focus on Public Cloud (Azure, GCP and AWS), latest technologies and agile apps development, we work closely with our customers to create business-centric and future-ready IT. Through modernization of business applications, we empower customers with efficiency and agility to transform the way they do business.

Who are we looking for?

As a person, we believe you are a team player who takes action and demonstrates responsibility to organize your work and solve your tasks. With our agile end-to-end development process, you will continue to both learn from, and coach your colleagues, so communication is important for us. Technology is developing fast, so learning new innovative technologies is something you strive to do.

You will be responsible for a large software development team (up to 40 people) which you will build from scratch (with the help of our talent acquisition advisor of course!). Main positions you will have in the team are SW Developer, SW Architect, Business Analyst, rarely UI/UX designer, Scrum Master and similar apps related experts.

In this role as a manager you need to find the best matches in terms of the client's needs and the skills and development goals of your team. In your work, you also represent the employer and ensure the implementation of legal obligations and the company's strategy to the extent that it is within your control. You will receive support from your colleagues and will have the opportunity to share even the challenging moments confidentially.

What We Hope From You

• We are looking for an experienced leader (minimum 6 years of experience with leading subject matter experts in IT; best SW Developers, SW Architects, QA Engineers etc.)
• Fluent language skills in Finnish and English are a must, verbally and writing
• Your main responsibility will be building your team, leadership of the team and active cooperation with sales and pre-sales
• We are looking for a business and sales minded person who will become new best friend of our sales experts
• Experience and enthusiasm around Microsoft technology stack is a benefit
• Working in global companies and global environment is a great benefit
• We don’t take ourselves too seriously so we hope you don't either
