Head of Software Engineering

Dublin - on site - 10+ years experience in a software or SaaS company selling into the Irish market

We are partnering with a high-growth SaaS company that is building a modern enterprise platform designed to transform how complex projects and operational workflows are managed across large organisations.

The business has already achieved strong early traction and is now entering the next phase of growth. As a result, they are seeking a Head of Engineering to lead the scaling of both the engineering team and the platform architecture.

This role sits on the senior leadership team and will play a critical role in shaping the company’s technology strategy and engineering culture as the product continues to scale.

The Opportunity

You will lead a growing engineering team responsible for building and operating a cloud-native SaaS platform used by enterprise customers to manage complex operational environments.

Working closely with product and commercial leadership, you will:

• Own the technology roadmap and engineering strategy
• Scale and mentor the engineering organisation
• Improve development processes, release cycles, and operational performance
• Ensure the platform remains reliable, scalable, and secure as adoption grows
• Help shape the long-term architecture of a modern enterprise SaaS product

The technology environment includes a modern cloud-native stack built on AWS with contemporary frontend and backend frameworks.

• Proven experience leading and scaling engineering teams
• Strong background in backend engineering and cloud architecture
• Experience delivering and operating enterprise SaaS platforms
