We have large, well-known media brands and a set of the largest digital services in the country. Now we are searching for future digital talents for Sanoma Media Trainee 2025 program.

Sanoma Media Trainee is an 8-month training program that combines development work in an expert team, shared learning events, personal development plan and a community of other trainees, engaged management and experts of different fields.

Data Scientist Trainee

Data Scientists focus on using Statistical and ML/AI methods to explore and optimize business processes, develop algorithms and solve problems. Examples include user profiling, improving recommendation systems, forecasting and data analysis. Technologies we use are Python, Apache Spark, Databricks, SQL, AWS, Torch, NumPyro & DBT.

We are looking for trainees to these two areas:

Journalistic product development, Personalization: Responsible for developing news personalization, improving related data enablers & capabilities as well as enhancing these processes with AI/Machine learning.

B2B unit: Concentrates on building the next generation of digital advertising products to reach audiences across Sanoma’s media product portfolio. The unit is responsible for building the future of Sanoma's advertising offering towards selling campaign outcomes and optimizing everything in between.

What are we looking for:

• students at the end of their studies / recent graduates from a relevant field and data science / data engineering understanding from studies/previous work experience/hobbies
• good communication skills in English and/or in Finnish
• good teamwork and collaboration skills
• enthusiastic attitude and motivation to learn
